Regarding the Champagne Henri Giraud PR 90-20
Champagne Henri Giraud PR 90-20 embodies the highest art of the House of Aÿ. A true masterpiece of patience and precision, this rare cuvée is made from 100% perpetual reserve wines, a unique process that lends the wine incomparable depth and complexity.
Made from 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, carefully matured in oak barrels from the Argonne forest, this exceptional champagne rests for three years on its lees before being unveiled. It is a blend of 1/3 of a Solera Grands Crus begun in 1990, mixed with 2/3 of wines from a historic reserve from the 1950s.
At first glance, PR 90-20 seduces with its sparkling gold, subtly amber color, animated by a fine, energetic effervescence. The intensely expressive nose reveals notes of ripe citrus fruit, apple and honey, enhanced by a smoky, chalky touch that is the hallmark of the Champagne terroir. On the palate, the experience is sumptuous: full-bodied, chiselled and silky, combining aromatic richness and saline freshness. The long, vibrant finish stretches elegantly over honeyed and mineral nuances, in a perfect balance of power and refinement.
Henri Giraud PR 90-20 is a gourmet champagne for discerning connoisseurs and collectors of fine wines. Enjoy it with refined dishes: roasted turbot, scallops, or even pan-fried foie gras. Served as an aperitif, its aromatic intensity and enveloping texture alone sublimate the moment.
With its remarkable structure and exceptional richness, PR 90-20 can be kept for 8 to 10 years or more. A champagne of timeless elegance...
