Regarding the Champagne Henri Giraud Fût de chêne MV19 Jéroboam
This MV19 Fût de Chêne Champagne Jeroboam from Maison Henri Giraud is a 100% Aÿ Grand Cru based on the 2019 harvest, topped up with Solera dating from 1990, hence the "MV: Multi Vintage".
It is based on three main elements: small yields, small containers and original grape variety. Henri Giraud abandoned the use of stainless steel vats several years ago, using only small oak barrels from the Argonne forest, which lies between Champagne and the Vosges mountains.
This exceptional cuvée is made up of 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay and 1/3 reserve wines. The heart of the Pinot Noir reveals fruit underscored by the beautiful mineral bitters and salinity of Aÿ Grand Cru.
Apricot, peach, tangerine, spices and dried flowers mingle in a smooth, full-bodied champagne. On the palate, it's fruity and delicious, with a touch of saltiness at the end.
A great Fût de Chêne MV19 wine, which you can pair with a chic aperitif, or a truffle risotto or scallops with white wine cream.
A champagne of great harmony and personality. A grandiose jeroboam of champagne in a superb wooden carrying case.
