Champagne SOUTIRAN
THE SPIRIT
Since 1969, the Soutiran Champagne House's ambition has been to reveal, through its wines, all the wealth of exceptional vineyards. Thanks to the quality of the selected grapes, and to our blendings, we elaborate complex champagnes with a strong personality. The heritage of the family know-how, combined with a love of gastronomy, leads us to seek for originality without betraying the characteristics of the vineyards. Like a famous chef who carefully selects his ingredients, and transforms them with talent, we elaborate our champagnes with the same passion, selecting the best vineyards to create unique champagnes such as the Perle Noire vintage or the "de Saignée" champagne rosé. The consumers' enthusiasm, the confidence in the business actors and the recognition of the critics encourage and motivate us to continue on the path of originality.
GEOGRAPHY AND TERROIR
Established in the village of Ambonnay , (which is classified as Grand Cru), in the renowned Montagne de Reims , the Soutiran champagne house specializes in Grand Cru and Premier Cru. This ranking dates back to 1927, and lists each village according to its soil, climate and sun exposure. Ambonnay benefits from an excellent climatic exposure, in the South East of the Montagne de Reims, and a chalky soil ensuring an excellent drainage and supply of water for the vines. The village of.Ambonnay exclusively produces Pinots Noirs (70%) and Chardonnays (30%). This family-owned champagne house cultivates 6 Ha of vine, and completes its production in sourcing grapes from the Grands Crus and Premiers Crus (family contracts and relations with nearby vineyards). Vineyards are approximatively 25 years old.
