Champagne JACQUESSON
Its 3rd place in the Revue du Vin de France's list of the 50 best champagnes, just behind Krug and Bollinger, confirms the quality of this champagne house. Great tasters have made Jacquesson champagne a benchmark.
Founded in 1798, this small champagne house has never increased production quantities despite its success. In fact, with an annual production of 350,000 bottles, this champagne house uses non-industrial production methods dedicated to the highest quality standards.
This champagne was a favorite of Napoleon 1st, who awarded it a gold medal in 1810 for the beauty and richness of its cellars. Jacquesson has adopted what the champagne house describes as a "revolutionary concept of Brut sans année in Champagne" with its Cuvée n° 728.
It is, in Jacquesson's words, "the first Champagne sans année to privilege excellence over regularity". So, instead of reducing the variations in quality found with each vintage, Champagne Jacquesson is offering the new Brut champagne for purchase, with the challenge of offering the best possible blend each year!
What's more, while the vintage "Signature" series dominates the champagnes, the other cuvées are as consistent as ever, with Champagne Brut, Champagne Rosé, Champagne Rosé millésimé and Champagne Blanc de Blancs millésimé.
Some champagnes are also available in magnum or Jeroboam.
