Regarding the Champagne Jacquesson Cuvée 744 Dégorgement Tardif
Like the other cuvées in the "700" family, this cuvée 744 DT from Maison Jacquesson is a rarity (19700 bottles).
This fabulous brut nature champagne (2 gr/l sugar) is the result of a blend with a predominance of the very successful Pinot Noir and 30% reserve wines from cuvées 743 to 736 (excluding 738). This blend is built around the very fine 2016 harvest, with perfectly ripe, healthy grapes. The champagne is tasty, aromatic, and has been aged 92 months on lees, under cork, before its Late Disgorgement in February 2025.
This is a concentrated, flavorful champagne with exceptional potential. It offers a deep aromatic palette of smoky notes and gingerbread. It's taut, with a chalky structure and a very long finish.
This Cuvée 744 DT from Maison Jacquesson is worthy of the greatest, and will accompany pan-fried foie gras, poultry or shellfish. It can be enjoyed now, or, if you're patient, it will age wonderfully for a few more years!
