Champagne KRUG
Ranked second among the 50 best champagnes in the January 2006 issue of Revue du Vin de France, Krug is a champagne house to dream about. Founded in 1843 by Johann-Joseph Krug, the Krug Champagne House was acquired by the LVMH group in 1999.
The creator of the Krug style, he is also the inspiration behind an uncompromising philosophy, which his successors have preserved and passed on six generations later. Krug is the only Champagne house to produce only Prestige and Exceptional Cuvées.
This passion for quality and attachment to tradition has always been a priority for the Krug family. Its methods guaranteeing the highest quality, its 19-hectare vineyard, its demanding 56-hectare sourcing and the 3 million bottles that have been waiting in its cellars for many years make Krug the benchmark for Prestige Champagne.
Krug is the only major brand to ferment all its champagnes in small oak barrels, a symbol of its unwavering commitment to tradition.
For connoisseurs the world over, it represents luxury champagne, with virtually unlimited cellar life and destined for the grandest of occasions. Only 500,000 bottles are sold each year, with a colossal stock of 3.5 million bottles - a rotation of 7 to 8 years!
The purchase of a bottle of Krug champagne guarantees the acquisition of a champagne of great class and character.
