Regarding the Champagne Gosset Suzanne
Created as a tribute to Suzanne Gosset, an emblematic figure of the House, Cuvée Suzanne Gosset Brut Rosé celebrates the art of rosé champagne through a remarkably precise blend. It is dominated by 65% Chardonnay, which gives it its freshness and finesse, while Meunier (17%) and Pinot Noir (11%) provide depth, structure and fruity expression. The addition of 7% Cumières red wine marks its unique identity and assertive personality.
Presented in an elegant, transparent bottle, the wine's luminous, subtly nuanced copper color reveals its uniqueness at first glance, a testimony to its long maturation in the cellar. The bouquet opens with notes of cherry and fresh plum, before evolving into more generous aromas of ripe pink grapefruit. A lively, precise attack is followed by a full, harmonious palate in which the freshness of Chardonnay converses with the roundness of red fruit. The long, elegant finish lingers on citrus notes and a delicate mineral touch. Its 11 g/l dosage gives it a remarkable balance of delicacy, freshness and complexity.
Both accessible and sophisticated, it is ideal as an aperitif, with a cocktail party or a festive dinner. It goes perfectly with salmon carpaccio, grilled prawns, lightly rosé duck breast or Asian-inspired cuisine. As for desserts, its fruity aromas are a natural match for red fruit shortbread, pavlova or white peach tart.
Cuvée Suzanne Gosset is the fruit of a particularly demanding ageing process, with over five years' extended maturation on the lees in the cellar, guaranteeing depth and complexity. Kept in the right conditions, it can be enjoyed today, or evolve favorably over the next 5 to 10 years.
