EPC: the new digital champagne

Discover EPC: a new champagne brand with a clearly stated ambition: to become the champagne for 25-35 year-olds. Presented in Paris on June 11, 2019, the brand has created a real partnership with numerous winemakers, under the leadership of Richard Dailly, EPC's cellar master, to produce its champagnes.

Edouard Roy (son and grandson of a winegrower) and Jérôme Queige (former sales director of Maison Jacquart), the brand's co-founders, aim to promote and modernize the terroir of Champagne.

EPC and its 100% Chardonnay single-varietal cuvées

To make its champagne accessible to as many people as possible, EPC wants to simplify its offer, from production to marketing.
EPC champagne is produced by partner winegrowers. To date, 90 of them have joined the brand. The idea is no longer to sell their production to champagne houses, but to process it directly, thus optimizing their resources and operations. 3 champagnes are marketed on a permanent basis:

An ephemeral collection will also be offered, with a limited edition Blancs de Blancs four times a year.

At EPC, nothing is mixed, neither terroirs, nor years, nor grape varieties (always 100% Chardonnay). These single-varietal cuvées make it easy to trace the champagne's provenance. EPC champagnes are designed to be easy to enjoy in all circumstances. This simplicity is reflected in the glass they use to enjoy champagne: the blida.

Drinking champagne from a blida

EPC L'Union fait le Champagne 2

With EPC, say goodbye to the traditional champagne flute. It may shake up your certainties, but it's the blida that they want to bring up to date! If you don't know what it is, don't panic, we'll explain. The blida is a traditional glass from the Champagne region, used for festive events such as weddings, christenings and communions. It holds around 10 cl (a little less than a champagne flute), and is sturdy, practical and stackable. One bottle can be shared by up to 8 people. As you can see, the blida is the perfect companion!

EPC: Technology at the service of champagne

The EPC brand also innovates in terms of technology. The tasting experience is guided by the brand. The bottle's back label features a thermosensitive tablet, whose color changes to indicate that the champagne is at the right temperature for tasting. A great way to avoid missing a crucial step in the tasting process: the right temperature! EPC also promises to guide its consumers with a connected label that gives the wine a voice... We'll soon be telling you more about this novelty, which promises to make tasting your blida even more fun.

As you can see, with the simplicity of its offer (a single price for its "permanent" bottles), the connected bottle and the return of the blida, EPC wants to dust off the image of champagne and reach out to a younger clientele. And what's the budget for a connected bottle? Just under 30 euros for permanent cuvées and just under 40 euros for limited editions.

So, are you tempted by a blida de Champagne EPC?
