Regarding the Champagne Lombard Brut Nature Grand Cru
This Brut Nature Grand Cru champagne combines the expressions of several terroirs that Maison Lombard is so fond of. 50% Chardonnay from chalky soils of the Côte des Blancs. They bring finesse and tension to the cuvée. 50% Pinot Noirs from the southern part of the Montage de Reims, planted on clay-limestone soils that express themselves more fully.
The vines come entirely from plots classified 100% on the vintage scale. Maturing in barrels has revealed the subtleties of these great terroirs thanks to regular micro-oxidation.
This exceptional Brut Nature Grand Cru cuvée combines subtle and joyful bubbles, liveliness and delicacy, elegance and complexity. It is a non-dosed champagne, therefore the purest expression of its terroir. It offers an intense and complex nose, on primary aromas of white fruits showing an evolution towards toasted scents, toasted almonds, vanilla and curry. The palate appears ample, tight and long.
A racy champagne that can go well with pretty dishes such as smoked pine oysters, coconut mousse, smoked scallops, or even desserts made with dried fruits.
