2008 was a great year for Chardonnays. 2008 was a particularly cool year which gives the wines a sublime tension. The sun returned before and during the harvest allowed the grapes to ripen well. This beautiful year marks 2008 among vintages perfectly designed for the development of great wines for aging.
80% present in this blend, Chardonnay maintains the freshness typical of this year. The 20% Pinot noir from the Ambonnay terroir provides the material necessary for this wine to be representative of 2008.
The nose is complex, elegant and fruity on lemon. The palate is rich on juicy and lemony yellow fruits. This 2008 Grand Cru is ideally balanced, between fruit and acidity on a beautiful mineral note which prolongs the tasting, all in harmony.
A superb champagne that will enhance a gourmet meal.

Champagne Lombard
Maison LOMBARD is a family estate located in Epernay and created in 1925, with a very Burgundian vision of Champagne. The vineyard is in organic conversion, on the Montagne de Reims Ouest. The cuvées are mono-crus and parcel, produced exclusively from Premier and Grand Cru. All the champagnes are Brut Nature or Extra-Brut, to reveal the identities and expressions of each place with great authenticity.
The family, independent House wishes to express its values in the development of its wines to offer us atypical champagnes representative of their terroirs. A very nice discovery!
