Regarding the Champagne Chassenay d'Arce Pinot Blanc Extra Brut 2014
The winegrowers of Chassenay d'Arce have preserved a rare heritage: a few plots of a forgotten grape variety: pinot blanc, to give birth to an unusual and remarkable champagne, a true House speciality: Pinot Blanc Extra Brut 2014 champagne.
This 100% Pinot Blanc, 6% of which is vinified in wood, gives us an exclusive cuvée that reveals a singular, assertive character. 2014 is a lovely vintage marked by a balance between freshness and acidity. This cuvée is the fruit of an encounter between a rare grape variety and a unique terroir: the Vallée de l'Arce.
After 8 years' ageing on lees, this champagne reveals generous, invigorating bubbles and a delicate, expressive, straightforward nose with notes of white and yellow fruit and toast. On the palate, the attack is straightforward with good length.
An astonishing champagne with unprecedented sensations, whose low dosage (2g/l) allows it to express itself unabashedly. Perfect with oysters or sea bream tartar.
This 2014 vintage offers great ageing potential.
