Regarding the Champagne Chassenay d'Arce Pinot Blanc Extra Brut 2015
The winegrowers of Chassenay d'Arce have preserved a rare heritage: a few plots of a forgotten grape variety: pinot blanc, to give birth to an exclusive and remarkable champagne, a true House speciality: Pinot Blanc Extra Brut 2015 champagne. This cuvée is the result of the encounter between this rare grape variety and a unique terroir: the Vallée de l'Arce.
This 100% Pinot Blanc, 6% of which is vinified in wood, is flattering, straightforward and deep. 2015 is a beautifully ripe vintage, very gourmand, with a fine balance between freshness and roundness.
After 7 years aging on lees, it offers delicate aromas of white flowers and toasted notes. On the palate, the liveliness and freshness of Pinot Blanc are gently expressed through citrus and white fruit aromas. The finish gives this champagne a balanced structure and remarkable length.
An astonishing champagne with unprecedented sensations, whose low dosage (2g/l) allows it to express itself unabashedly. Perfect with a seafood platter or raw fish.
This 2015 vintage offers great ageing potential.
