Grande Dame is an ode to Pinot Noir. Following 8 years of cellar aging, vintage 2012 offers a great minerality and delicacy, together with a great nicety.

The 2012 blend is mainly sourced from historical Grands Crus of the Maison, with 90% of Pinot Noir and 10% of Chardonnay. The nose unveils white flower notes, followed by pear, apple and almond aromas. The palate is complex and offers a silky texture.

La Grande Dame 2012 represents the quintessence of the style Veuve Clicquot, and reaches the paroxysm of refinement, without losing its legendary power.

This champagne offers a great elegance and is delicious with vegetables and fresh fruits. Its aging potential is huge, at least ten to fifteen years…

The famous Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin, nicknamed "the Veuve Clicquot", acquired, after the death of her husband in 1805, some of the best vines, constituting an exceptional wine-growing heritage which today covers 515 hectares.

The "grande dame of Champagne" also innovated by creating the first blended rosé champagne. Since 1877, the House of Veuve Clicquot has dressed its bottles with a recognizable orange-yellow label, with an anchor, symbol of hope, as a logo.

At Clicquot, the style is anchored by the Pinot Noir grape, which gives birth to some of the most prestigious champagnes. Veuve Clicquot Champagnes are fruity, harmonious, chic. Flasks of gastronomy par excellence, for which the motto of the House is: "Only one quality, the very first".
