Regarding the Champagne Veuve Clicquot Vintage Rosé 2012 Magnum
The Vintage Rosé 2012 from Maison Clicquot is the expression of a difficult but exceptional year. The 51% Pinot Noir selected from Grands and Premiers Crus terroirs, give it the typical structure of Veuve Clicquot champagnes. The 34% Chardonnay gives it elegance and finesse, and the 15% Meunier completes this blend. The signature of the Vintage collection at Veuve Clicquot lies in the use of wines vinified and aged in 11% oak casks in the blends, thus bringing power and aromatic intensity.
The Vintage Rosé 2012 offers a very nice fine and elegant nose on white fruits, and exotic ones such as passion fruits, fresh pineapple, and a hint of pomelos. It then releases more toasted notes of sandwich bread and brioche. On the palate, it is a balanced, creamy, full-bodied rosé with a nice freshness.
The blend of three emblematic Champagne grape varieties gives this 2012 Rosé a balance of spices, and subtle toasted, woody and vanilla notes. A gourmet champagne, to be enjoyed with lobster, smoked eel, abalone or langoustines. Also ideal for dessert.
It's sold here in magnum.
