Regarding the Champagne Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rosé 2011
This Cuvée de Prestige is the flagship of Maison TAITTINGER. Only produced in exceptional years and made from 100% Grands Crus, Comtes de Champagne Rosé 2011 is a truly great Rosé champagne.
This 2011 vintage offers a Rosé champagne with a distinctive style of purity, balance and character.
Comtes de Champagne Rosé 2011 is composed of 40% Grands Crus Chardonnay from the most prestigious terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, and 60% Pinot Noirs from the Grands Crus of the Montagne de Reims, with 14% Pinot de Bouzy vinified as red wine.
It draws its nobility from over 12 years' ageing, to offer us a silky, flavorful balance.
The bubbles are extremely fine. On the nose, aromas of cherry and gingerbread mingle with hints of licorice. On the palate, the attack is fruity and precise, gradually giving way to a silky, solar structure. This is a champagne of great aromatic finesse, combining the iodized character of the Chardonnays and the fullness of the fruit of the Pinots Noirs.
As a gastronomic champagne, it has the qualities to be enjoyed at any time, as an exceptional aperitif or during a meal with pigeon, or to accompany a dessert such as a red fruit gratin, or an aged Comté cheese.
With its rare elegance, this legendary cuvée will improve admirably for years to come.
