Regarding the Champagne Chartogne-taillet Les Couarres
Cuvée les Couarres from Maison CHARTOGNE-TAILLET is a champagne made from a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, which adds aromatic complexity. This is undoubtedly the most accessible plot-based cuvée in the range, a generous, gourmand cuvée.
The "Les Couarres" plot, located in the center of the Merfy vineyard on sandy-loam soils, adds richness and mineral freshness. This cuvée comes from the 2022 harvest, a sunny, generous year, with beautifully ripe fruit.
The nose reveals aromas of white flowers and ripe pear. On the palate, it's full-bodied and vinous, with the Chardonnay providing freshness and the Pinot Noir depth, with a long, saline finish.
Vinified in barrels for 9 months, and dosed in extra-Brut (1.25 gr/l), this is a vinous champagne, where the greed of fruit meets a true mineral signature.
Bottled in July 2023, it was disgorged in February 2026.
A gourmet champagne, it is the perfect accompaniment to Bresse poultry with cream sauce, rack of veal with morel mushrooms, Saint-Pierre in a salt crust, or an aged Comté cheese...
You can enjoy it now, or cellar it for another ten years to develop its complexity.
