Following 7 years of ageing in cellars, Grand Vintage 2009 offers to the nose soft notes of vanilla gradually expand into darker, toastier notes of roasted almonds and mocha, with hints of juicy, fleshy fruits completed by roses and peony aromas.
On the palate, the initial impression is welcoming, full-bodied and smooth, followed by a silky fluid texture ; the controlled power of the Pinot Noir, with notes of honey and mild spices, is underscored by a stimulating nuance of pink grapefruit. Overall, the palate is generous and light simultaneously.
