Regarding the Champagne Veuve Lanaud Cuvée Marie-Joséphine grape harvest 2012
The cuvée Marie-Joséphine of the House of Veuve Lanaud, is a blend of equal parts of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, mainly from the beautiful 2012 harvest. These are the best crus that are chosen.
Aged for a minimum of 8 years in the cellar, with 10% of the reserve wine aged slowly in oak barrels, this champagne is dedicated to Marie Joséphine Lanaud, mother of the founder of the house.
This prestigious cuvée has a golden color and a nose of great complexity, slightly toasted and vanilla thanks to the tannins of the oak barrel with hints of yellow flowers that appear upon aeration. The mouth reveals fruity aromas of apricot compote, peaches and pears. It is round, aromatic and pleasant.
This champagne will accompany white meats, flambéed shrimps and cheese.
