Regarding the Champagne Veuve Lanaud Cuvée Marie-Joséphine grape harvest 2013
Cuvée Marie-Joséphine from Maison Veuve Lanaud, is a blend of equal parts Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, mainly from the 2013 harvest. The grapes are selected from the best crus.
Aged for a minimum of 8 years in the cellar, with 10% reserve wine aged slowly in oak, this champagne is dedicated to Marie Joséphine Lanaud, mother of the house's founder.
This prestigious cuvée boasts a golden color and a highly complex nose, lightly toasted and vanilla-flavored thanks to the tannins of the oak barrel, with hints of yellow flowers appearing on aeration. The palate reveals aromas of yellow fruit with hints of vanilla. A round, aromatic and pleasant champagne.
This champagne will accompany white meats, flambéed shrimp and cheese.

Champagne Veuve Lanaud
In 1919, Henry-Léopold Tabourin founded this trading house, which he named after his widowed mother, Joséphine Lanaud. Located on the terroir classified as Grand Cru d'Avize, Veuve Lanaud's vineyards are planted with 75% Chardonnay, mostly classified as Grand Cru de la Côte des Blancs. The preeminence of Chardonnay is a guarantee of the strong ageing potential of the wines.
The vineyard of 12 hectares in reasoned culture and in direction towards the organic culture is distributed on 13 villages of the wine champagne. The particularity of the House is to allow the wines the necessary maturation time in the cellar. The result is obvious, harmonious wines of great quality that reflect the terroir.
