Regarding the Champagne Larmandier-bernier Rosé de maturation 2014
This 2014 Rosé de Maturation champagne from Larmandier-Bernier is a Saignée rosé champagne, a technique rarely used in champagne as it is more demanding. The grapes macerate for two to three days, giving the champagne such a deep color.
This 100% Pinots Noirs comes from old vines in Vertus. With this cuvée, Maison Larmandier-Bernier wanted to test the ripening capacity of their Rosé de Saignée. Part of the wine was vinified in barrels, the rest in their concrete eggs. After 11 months on lees, the wine was blended.
And after a further six years of ageing, and a discreet dosage of 3g/l, this matured Rosé is ready for you to enjoy. Disgorgement took place in January 2021.

Maison Larmandier Bernier is a young family business founded in 1971. It has been cultivating about 15 hectares of biodynamic vines for more than 20 years.
The domain is located on the famous Côte des Blancs and all the champagnes come from terroirs classified essentially as Grands Crus with 85% of Chardonnay and 15% of Pinot Noir. A natural viticulture which offers us authentic cuvées, with low dosage, of a great intensity.
