Picnic at Maison Henriot

Publié par Julia Bouchet - 03/08/2020 - Champagne Houses and Winegrowers

For the very first time, Maison Henriot, founded in 1808, opens its doors all summer long for an ultra-chic picnic in the Jardin à la Française at Maison des Aulnois. Maison Les Aulnois is the birthplace of the Henriot family, built in 1778 by André Delaplace, in the village of Pierry. "Les Aulnois" refers to the alder trees that surround the house.

And here are all the dates to enjoy them on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays:

  • July 29/30/31,
  • August 5/6/7,
  • August 18/19/21,
  • exceptionally Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, September 2/3/4,
  • and September 9/10/11

Join us in the late morning for a private tour of the historic press, fully renovated in 2019, followed by a tasting of Blanc de Blancs, the cuvée that symbolizes the savoir-faire of Maison Henriot. A 100% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, blended with 40% of the house's reserve wines to give it a lovely winey style. Blanc de Blancs Henriot is an elegant cuvée, with particularly fine, delicate bubbles, a nose of fine zest and roasted cereals, and a mouthful of brioche, quince paste and acacia honey.

The picnic is offered in the perfect symmetry of the Maison's French garden, in harmony with the Cuvée Blanc de Blancs.
