Some of the wineries opening their doors
Optimism is the order of the day, and the people of Champagne are starting to prepare for the 2021 season!
From May 21, Moët & Chandon will be offering a tour of the Jardin de l'Orangerie, a visit to the cellars and/or a guided tasting.
Perrier-Jouët has just announced the opening of a champagne bar in its former cellar in Épernay. Inside, the House has created a "suspended plant installation" and in the courtyard a "landscaped garden" where lovers of the House's champagne can discover pairings with dishes by head chef Sébastien Morellon. Even more exceptional, Perrier-Jouët has decided to open the doors of its Maison Belle Époque, for gourmet lunches served on its terrace on Fridays and Saturdays, until now reserved for distinguished guests.
De Venoge opens the doors of its Maison on the prestigious Avenue de Champagne in Epernay. Take a stroll through their Hôtel Particulier and reception rooms, culminating in a visit to their vinothèque, where the House preserves its finest vintages. The tour ends with a tasting of 4 of their cuvées.
Maison Pannier innovates with an escape game in the magnificent medieval quarries over 2 kilometers long, dug out to become the Maison's cellars. "A la recherche de l'élixir de vie éternel" (In search of the elixir of eternal life) is a great idea for a different kind of welcome, one that goes beyond classic tastings and estate visits. In search of the Grail, in search of this elixir containing fine bubbles, that's the challenge launched by Maison Pannier with this "escape game" from another era!
The Maison de Champagne Taittinger is reopening the doors to its history and cellars from May 21, offering visitors the chance to discover the secrets of the House's soul and style, with a tailor-made tasting session. At the end of the tour, the House offers a commented tasting of each of its cuvées.
