Regarding the Champagne Louis Roederer Rosé Vintage 2011 Magnum

A characteristic of Roederer rosé in magnum: the concentration, fruitiness, and compactness of the Cumières Pinot noir grapes are transcended by the elegance, purity, and freshness of the finest Chardonnay grapes cultivated on the Côte des Blancs.

A blend of around 65% Pinot noir and 35% Chardonnay, 20% of which is wine matured in oak tuns, the Rosé Vintage cuvée is generally matured on lees for 4 years and left for a minimum of 6 months after dégorgement (disgorging) to attain perfect maturity.

The wine has fruity aromas of wild red berries, followed by floral notes, and the sugary and spicy fragrance of zest; and the aromas of dried fruit and cocoa result from the wine’s vinifying in oak tuns. Rich and full-bodied, the Rosé Vintage exalts the maturity of the fruit. A sparkling wine with an initial impression of freshness, it opens smoothly with almost exotic notes, combined with the pure minerality of the Chardonnay grapes.

The challenge of the 2011 Rosé, a difficult vintage for ripeness in Champagne, is perfectly met thanks to the Pinots noirs from south-facing Cumières, and the small yields which helped these grapes reach perfect ripeness.

Whether you wish to offer or to treat yourself, champagne ROSE 2011 from ROEDERER in magnum is presented in a superb and free gift case.

Champagne Louis Roederer

Still a family business since 1776, the Louis Roederer House relies on a vineyard of 420 exceptional parcels on 244 hectares, 70% of which are classified as Grand Cru.

The vineyard is very diverse and a viticulture of revival is applied with soft and virtuous practices inspired by permaculture. A large part of the estate is already converted to organic farming(it is the largest AB certified area in Champagne).

Despite the worldwide success of its prestige cuvee, Cristal de Roederer, the company has remained in control of its supply, which is based almost exclusively on its own vineyards.

Already present on the tables of Tsar Nicolas II, Louis Roederer champagne is still synonymous with excellence and three million bottles are shipped worldwide each year. These are great champagnes, harmonious, focused on purity, straightness and a rich aromatic mosaic.
