Regarding the Champagne Laherte Extra-Brut Ultradition
2014, is the year of celebration of 125 years of the House Laherte Frères. On this occasion, the house decided to combine history and the future by creating a new champagne : Cuvée Extra-Brut Ultradition with the label used in 1889. A beautiful capsule limited to 1889 copies only has been integrated into the cuvée. The Laherte family is part of a long Champagne tradition since 1889, the generations that succeed each other work to sublimate this magnificent terroir that is Champagne.
This cuvée Ultradition extra-brut comes from the southern slopes of Epernay, the Marne valley and the Côte des Blancs. 60% of the creaminess of the Meunier, 30% of the brilliance of the Chardonnay and 10% of the Pinot Noir, including 40% of reserve wines from previous years kept in barrels, make up this cuvée.
A pretty yellow color, fine bubbles, and on the nose, persistent notes of green apple and pear mixed with floral scents. The mouth is seductive and ripe. The finish is tense, long and precise, slightly honeyed and spicy. A Champagne that asserts its personality, tense and fresh that sharpens the taste buds. It will be quite suitable for aging.
Enjoy this Ultradition Extra-Brut as an aperitif, or with sea urchins in apple jelly, snails with parsley or a turbot filet with sorrel cream.
