With over forty books published, nearly twenty expeditions and as many films, the renowned director of family adventure films (Le dernier trappeur in 2004, Belle et Sébastien in 2013, Donne-moi des ailes in 2019), will begin shooting in May 2021 for a two-month period. The feature-length film will be shot at the Villa des Trois Clochers, the Maison Leclerc Briant 's accommodation facility in Villers-Allerand. A wonderful spotlight on the Champagne region and the men and women who bring it to life.
The story behind this comedy?" A group of old friends gather at one of their vineyards to celebrate Patrick's bachelor party.Alas, the bride-to-be isn't on everyone's lips, and when she turns up unannounced, 30 years of friendship threaten to turn sour!"
A comedy for bubble-lovers, in the form of an eight-clos with a cast that includes (front cover photo) Elsa Zylberstein, Sylvie Testud, Valérie Karsenti, François-Xavier Demaison and Stéphane de Groodt. A choral film celebrating friendship, Champagne and its winemakers, scheduled for release in spring 2022.
Leclerc Briant Champagne House
"I'm very interested in vines, and I'm planning to grow Malbec myself in Argentina with a friend, near Bariloche and San Martin de los Andes, along the Limay River. What always appeals to me, and it's recurrent in my films, is man's relationship with nature, and it's true that in many of the people I've met in Champagne, since I've been preparing the film, I've seen this kind of passion, this attachment they have to the land, it's something that touches me because of my history..." explains Nicolas Vanier to Terre de vins magazine (March 2, 2021).
Based in Epernay, between the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, for over 50 years, Nicolas Vanier's choice is consistent with the spirit of the house, which has favored biodynamic viticulture since the 50's. The vineyards of Maison Leclerc-Briant are also certified organic, a subject we touched on in a previous article, "Respect and singularity, the watchwords of the Leclerc-Briant champagne house". A common love and respect for nature between the director and the House.
The Villa des Trois Clochers

The Villa des Trois Clochers is located in the heart of the Clos des Trois Clochers, a 30-acre parcel of biodynamically farmed Chardonnays in the Premier Cru village of Villers-Allerand. The cuvée "Le clos des Trois Clochers" vintage 2014 comes from it. A Blanc de Blanc, Brut Zero dosage. This terroir is renowned for its chalky soils and good exposure, producing taut, aromatic Chardonnays. The villa, with its four suites, is destined to complement the House's hospitality offering with a cottage version of the famous Avenue de Champagne address, 25bis by Leclerc Briant.
