Regarding the Champagne Veuve Clicquot Vintage Rosé 2012
The 2012 Vintage Rosé from the Maison Clicquot is the expression of a difficult but exceptional year.
The 51% of Pinot Noir selected from Grand Cru and Premier Cru terroirs gives it the typical structure of Veuve Clicquot champagnes. The 34% Chardonnay gives it elegance and finesse, and the 15% Meunier completes the blend. The signature of the Vintage collection at Veuve Clicquot lies in the use of wines vinified and aged in oak, for 11% in the blends, bringing power and aromatic intensity.
The Vintage Rosé 2012 champagne offers a very nice fine and elegant nose on white fruits, and exotic fruits like passion fruit, fresh pineapple, and a touch of pomelo. It then gives off more toasty notes of sandwich bread and brioche. On the palate, it is a balanced, creamy, full-bodied rosé with a nice freshness. The blend of the three emblematic grape varieties of Champagne gives this Rosé 2012 a balance made of spices, and subtle toasted, woody and vanilla notes.
A gastronomic champagne, to be enjoyed with lobster, smoked eel, abalone or langoustines. Also ideal for dessert. It is offered in a gift box.
