Regarding the Champagne Salon 2013
Champagne Salon is unique: a single grape variety, Chardonnay, a single terroir, Côte des Blancs, a single cru, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, a single year, here 2013: an outstanding vintage, with superb Chardonnays.
Salon 2013 reveals a sparkling golden color that merges with green reflections, indicative of great blanc de blancs. Notes of white flowers and bergamot emerge. The palate is both rich and long, with perfect balance and restrained power. The warmth of the vintage is palpable, with round, smooth aromas of roasted hazelnuts and caramel. The finish is chalky, carried by the evanescent bubbles that are Salon's signature.
Enjoy chilled, between 13° and 15°. The wine's extreme purity is a perfect match for its clean minerality, and it goes well with salmon terrine, langoustine tartar, or pig's trotter with sweetbreads.
You can keep it for over 15 years! Salon 2013 is housed in an elegant wooden box.
