Regarding the Champagne Laurent-perrier Alexandra Rosé 2004
It was always natural for Laurent-Perrier, creator of the benchmark Cuvée Rosé non-vintage champagne, to eventually offer a prestige Cuvée Rosé. Alexandra Rosé 2004 is a rare and cherished wine that comes from a rigorous selection of the best plots, and an exceptional marriage between Grands Crus grapes of Pinot Noir (80%) and Chardonnay (20%).
The global release of Grande Cuvée Alexandra Rosé Vintage 2004 takes place 26 years to the day after the official 1987 presentation of the first (1982) vintage. Since that première, Laurent-Perrier has produced six vintages, the launch of the 2004 vintage making a seventh.
Following 10 years of ageing, this elegant and refined cuvée shows great minerality. Bubbles are fine, the nose is complex with hints of wild strawberries and red currant jam, followed by notes of candied fruits. Its soft and dry texture leads into a long finish indicative of berry fruit.
Cuvée Rosé Alexandra from Laurent-Perrier is the benchmark for rosé champagnes. It will highlight the most refined dishes : a grilled lobster, an octopus, or scallops.
This superb and original bottle is presented in an all new woodden case, especially created for this exceptional cuvée.
