Regarding the Champagne Alfred Gratien Brut Rosé
The Champagne Brut Rosé of Alfred Gratien is a champagne of great quality, far from the round and greedy standards. It succeeds in a balance between iodine minerality and tannin, structure and elegance.
Rigorous selection of grapes, vinification and maturation in small oak barrels in the respect of tradition, voluntary limitation of volumes, no or little malolactic fermentation in order to respect the nature of the grapes and the personality of the terroir: here are all these attentions which make Alfred Gratien a unique Champagne.
The bubbles are fine, the nose, fresh, reveals at first fruit and mineral notes, and then aromas of currants and pink grapefruit. It becomes more and more vinous and racy. On the palate, it is nervous and petulant. The effervescence of champagne coats the palate. The aromas of red fruits and cookies accompany us until the long, lively and saline finish.
This "pink bubble", elaborated in the spirit of rigor that characterizes the house, expresses all the character of Alfred Gratien.
It is the refinement of spring flowers in a bottle!
To be served at 10° with marinated red mullet fillets for example.
