Regarding the Champagne Pol Roger Brut 2015
Cuvée Pol Roger Brut Vintage 2015 is full of charm and fullness. This cuvée is elaborated from a blend composed of 60% Pinot noir and 40% Chardonnay, Grands and Premiers Crus.
Produced in limited quantity, this champagne is raised for 9 years in cellars. The subtle first nose opens with notes of fleshy ethereal hints of rose petals. Expressive and full of freshness, the bouquet is reminiscent of patisserie, pastries and dried nuts. It then evolves to reveal aromas of honey and apple jelly.
The palate is round and elegant. A slight zesty quality sets off the notes of brioche, patisserie and toast, combined with liquorice and dried nuts. The silky texture is accompanied by a lovely lingering acidity right through to the finish.
The 2015 vintage brings us a warm and very fine champagne. This cuvée is perfect when served with a mushrooms poultry, a chicken stuffed with foie gras or a poultry supreme.

Pol Roger is the champagne of "gentlemen" as Jean-Paul Kauffman wrote in his book "Voyage en Champagne". For sure, it is the official champagne of the royal court of England. It was also the champagne of Sir Winston Churchill, a cuvée is dedicated to him!
For 5 generations, the descendants of Mr. Pol Roger have made it a point of honor to remain faithful to the line initiated by the founder of the House in 1849.
It is one of the last great Champagne Houses that is both family-owned and independent. The champagnes of the House are defined by their roundness as well as their purity, regularity and intensity of their aromas.
