Description of Clos des Goisses Juste Rosé 2007
Clos des Goisses Juste Rosé 2007 vintage from Maison Philipponnat expresses the intensity of an exceptional terroir. Already legendary for collectors and connoisseurs, only 2 to 3 thousand bottles of each vintage are produced.
This cuvée is elaborated from a blend composed of 55% Pinot noir and 45% Chardonnay. Traditional, partial vinification in wooden barrels leads to more complexity without premature oxidation. There is no malolactic fermentation, which enables the wine’s natural acidity to compensate the powerful character of the terroir.
The very low dosage (4.5 g/litre) gives full expression to the vinosity and minerality of this exceptional vineyard.
The year 2007 gave birth to generous champagnes with an exceptionnal aging potential.
To the eye, this cuvée is characterized by an extremely fine effervescence, while the nose is gourmand and fruity, with exotic fruits and peach notes.
The mouth offers a creamy and mineral and the finish is fresh and elegant.
Clos des Goisses Juste Rosé 2007 is a very fine wine before being a very fine champagne, making it an excellent choice to accompany meat and fishes.
This superb cuvée can then be kept for several decades and will continue to develop magnificently in the right conditions.
