Regarding the Champagne Moet Et Chandon Réserve Impériale
Moët & Chandon's Réserve Impériale is a champagne for all occasions, combining lively fruitiness and refined structure. Its blend is based mainly on Pinot Noir (40-50%), which gives it power and structure, complemented by Meunier (20-30%), for roundness and suppleness, and Chardonnay (20-30%), which adds freshness and finesse. Approximately 20-30% of reserve wines are also used, guaranteeing consistency of style and aromatic complexity.
At first glance, this champagne seduces with its golden yellow color, illuminated by amber highlights. The nose reveals ripe summer fruits such as peach and apricot, supported by hints of cashew nut and gingerbread. On the palate, the texture is dense, vinous and persistent, with enveloping warmth and a delicately spicy finish. The extra-brut dosage of 5 g/l perfectly enhances the wine's purity of fruit and depth, without masking its natural balance.
Réserve Impériale Extra-Brut can be enjoyed as an aperitif or as part of a refined meal. It goes perfectly with smoked fish salads, or braised poultry with chanterelle mushrooms. For a gourmet touch, it also pairs well with a gingerbread mille-feuilles and apricot coulis, highlighting its spicy, fruity nuances.
Aged for 30 months in the cellar, then matured for at least another 3 months after disgorging, this champagne is beautifully mature when tasted. It can be enjoyed immediately for its aromatic richness and balance, but can also be kept for 3 to 5 years, during which time its texture will gain in roundness and its aromatic palette in complexity.
