Regarding the Champagne Mailly Grand Cru Extra-Brut 2014 Grand Cru
Champagne Extra Brut vintage 2014 Grand Cru from Maison Mailly is elaborated from 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay. This outstanding champagne is aerial and required a 5 years aging period in chalk cellars in order to bring suppleness which is the very expression of Maison Mailly.
The Pinot Noir expresses notes of roasting, well-baked bread and fruit nuts. It marvelously reflects its Grand Cru terroir from the Montagne de Reims, close to the village of Vernezay. The palate is lively and juicy and offers aromas of citrus and a great minerality. The low sugar dosage of 2 to 3 grams per liter creates a stimulating harmony.
A champagne with an aerial structure to be enjoyed with caviar and meat or fish carpaccios. Raw fishes, sushis and sashimis are also delicious with this cuvée.
