Regarding the Champagne Leclerc Briant Château d'Avize 2012
Château d'Avize 2012 by Maison Leclerc-Briant is a very great Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru nature champagne (2gr/l), made from a single plot of 2.13 ha, managed biodynamically.
This 100% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, aged 80% in oak barrels, embodies the power and depth of the Grand Cru in a vintage marked by a perfect balance of grapes and wines.
This brightly colored champagne reveals notes of toasted hazelnut and coconut on the nose. In the mouth, we discover a pulpy and fruity matter, a chalky minerality, with a beautiful length.
This champagne with very little dosage will sublimate a semi-cooked foie gras or a grilled lobster. Already divine, it will gain in complexity in the years to come.
It is a real jewel that the House of Leclerc-Briant offers us!

Champagne Leclerc Briant
Maison Leclerc Briant is a family business founded in 1872 in Cumières. Bought in 2012 by a couple of passionate Americans, the Maison Leclerc Briant offers us singular and high quality vintages.
Vinified with respect for nature since the 1940s, this 10-hectare estate, essentially Premier Cru, is naturally certified organic and Biodynamic. Pioneer in organic wine making, the House is also a pioneer in parcel selections since the 1980s and offers us champagnes disgorged after a long period of ageing in the cellar and low dosage to let the cuvées express themselves to the maximum.
