Regarding the Champagne Drappier Millésime Exception 2016
Millesime d'Exception 2016 from Maison Drappier perfectly mirrors this remarkable year. Sourced from sustainable farming, with very few sulfur, this champagne comes from 60 % of Pinot Noir, 30% of Chardonnay, and 10% of Meunier.
This cuvée unveils a slighly creamy palate. A floral touch confirms the strong proportion of Chardonnay. The depth of Pinot Noir is characterized by red fruit notes and pleasant bitterness.
Thanks to an aging period in oak barrels, this champagne is very rich and complex.
Perfect for the aperitif, this cuvée is also delicious when served with a grilled sea bass or a rositto.

This family business prefers authenticity and uses very little sulfur. It has also created a sulphur-free cuvée: the Cuvée Brut Nature without sulphite.
The strong presence of Pinot Noir gives birth to powerful, vinous champagnes that seduced General De Gaulle in 1965. To pay tribute to him, Drappier has dedicated the Cuvée Charles De Gaulle to him. It is also the only House to offer for sale all sizes of champagne bottles: from the quarter bottle to the Melchisedec (30 liters)!
