Regarding the Champagne Devaux Sténopé 2010
Sténopé vintage 2010, it is a cuvée/meeting between Champagne and the Rhone Valley, between the Maison Devaux, and Michel Chapoutier. A meeting that gives birth to a rare champagne, offering the most faithful image of a single year, 2010.
"Sténos" means "narrow" and in photography represents the small hole in the wall of a darkroom, acting as a photographic lens. A photographic device that allows to capture an image of reality. This is exactly what the "Sténopé" is: the best portrait of a season.
Always vintage, Sténopé, is a cuvée assembled in equal parts of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, aged in oak barrels. Sténopé 2010 is a fresh and unctuous champagne with a nose of citrus and toast. The palate is fresh with lemons, rhubarb and bergamot, then fleshy with some red berries, currant and raspberry. The finish is persistent, with a touch of chocolate and salinity.
You can accompany this wine with an aperitif or during a meal.
