Following 84 months of aging period in the house’s cellar, Cuvée Caudalies 2012 from Maison de Sousa is now ready to be enjoyed !

The year 2012 is characterized by a great balance between acidity and sugar, and an exceptional biodynamic work on the vineyard and soils, respecting the nature to achieve an optimal maturity.

Discover here two Caudalie cuvées, from the superb 2012 harvest, and from two unique terroirs in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, classified Grand Cru: Le Mesnil sur Oger and Avize in an elegant recyclable box.

The Avize 2012 Les Pierres Vaudons cuvée reveals aromas of dried fruit, then anise and fennel on the nose. On the palate, hazelnuts follow one another, then a salty side, and caramel, and in the finish, a nice bitterness.

The Le Mesnil 2012 Les Chétillons cuvée gives us aromas of carbon, white flowers and yellow fruits on the nose. On the palate, richness and smoothness are present.

This Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru champagne can be enjoyed with seafood, fishes, white meats, aged cheeses or simply as an aperitif. But you can also decide to store this champagne in your cellar, for the next 15 to 20 forthcoming years.

Champagne De Sousa

De Sousa Champagne House is a family business for 3 generations. The vineyard is located on 11 hectares in the heart of the famous Côte des Blancs, terroirs classified as Grand Cru.

The elaboration of the champagnes is traditional, the harvest is done by hand on vines of which three quarters are more than 45 years old, which offers to the champagnes of the House De Sousa an extraordinary aromatic richness...

The work of the vineyard has always been done in the respect of the nature and the environment, and quite naturally, the House has passed in Biodynamy in 1999, and has been certified Organic in 2010.
