Regarding the Champagne Chassenay d'Arce Cuvée Audace Extra Brut 2014
Cuvée Audace Extra Brut 2014 Champagne from the Maison Chassenay D'arce is a 100% Pinot Noir, from the 2014 harvest. All the grapes for this cuvée come from organically grown parcels in the heart of the Côte des Bar. This champagne is traditionally vinified but with 18.6% of the cuvée vinified under wood.
We find the finesse of the terroir of the Arce Valley in this cuvée, character and an identity of its own given by the mode of organic farming.
2014 is a classic, fresh year with an extra touch of tension.
After six years of aging on the lees, and a dosage in extra-brut, we discover a vintage with fine and lively bubbles. The nose is expressive, fresh and complex and offers us aromas of yellow fruits, white flowers, with some woody and spicy notes. The mouth is fresh, persistent, with a precise and fine substance.
Perfect as an aperitif, the Audace cuvée will also accompany white meats or noble fishes during a meal.
This champagne already expresses its personality but can improve for a few more years.
Attention, it is a rare champagne, only 9000 bottles have been produced.
