Regarding the Champagne Chassenay d'Arce Pinot Blanc Extra Brut 2012
The winegrowers of Chassenay d'Arce have preserved a rare heritage: a few parcels of a forgotten grape variety: Pinot Blanc, to give birth to an unusual and remarkable champagne, a true specificity of the House: the Champagne Pinot Blanc Extra Brut 2012.
This 100% Pinot Blanc from the great 2012 vintage, of which 6% is vinified in wood, offers us an exclusive cuvée that reveals a singular and assertive character. This cuvée is the fruit of a meeting: that of a rare grape variety with a unique terroir: the Arce Valley.
After 6 years of ageing on lees, this champagne reveals generous and tonic bubbles, a fresh, expressive and frank nose with notes of white and yellow fruits and mineral notes. In the mouth, the attack is generous and round with a hint of mineral and saltiness.
An astonishing champagne with new sensations, whose low dosage allows it to express itself without fuss. It will be perfect with seafood and raw fish.
This great vintage 2012 already expresses its personality and will continue to improve in the years to come.
