It is elaborated from the 2017 harvest, and completed with 10% of reserve wines raised in wood casks and sourced from plot’s selections (2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016), and 34% of Maison LOUIS ROEDERER’s perpetual reserve (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016).
This multi-vintage champagne is created every year, it remains unique and is always faithful to the style of Roederer. This cuvée is composed of 42% Chardonnay, 36% Pinot Noir and 22% Meunier, it's just the perfect champagne to discover this great Maison de Champagne.
The blend of Collection 242 is mainly based on Chardonnay, which is marvelous for the 2017 harvest. The nose unveils sugared and riped fruits aromas together with woody notes. The palate is generous, voluptuous and juicy, and offers a very fresh final.
As cuvée Collection 242 is extremely fine and fresh, it is perfect for the aperitif. Moreover, its richness matches delicate dishes such as fishes and seashells.
