Following 84 months of aging period in the house’s cellar, Cuvée Caudalies 2008 from Maison de Sousa is now ready to be enjoyed ! Already acclaimed, vintage 2008 should enter the legend among the greatest vintages alike 1988, 1995 and 2002.
The year 2008 is characterized by a great balance between acidity and sugar, and an exceptional biodynamic work on the vineyard and soils, respecting the nature to achieve an optimal maturity.
Faithful to the Caudalie spirit, this vintage is round, ample, deep with a nice minerality which is the hallmark of the greatest Chardonnays. A true osmosis between the vintage and the terroir. On the palate, this gastronomic cuvée offers true Caudalies savors such as honey and gingerbread.
This Extra-Brut Grand Cru champagne can be enjoyed with seafood, fishes, white meats, aged cheeses or simply as an aperitif. But you can also decide to store this champagne in your cellar, for the next 15 to 20 forthcoming years.

De Sousa Champagne House is a family business for 3 generations. The vineyard is located on 11 hectares in the heart of the famous Côte des Blancs, terroirs classified as Grand Cru.
The elaboration of the champagnes is traditional, the harvest is done by hand on vines of which three quarters are more than 45 years old, which offers to the champagnes of the House De Sousa an extraordinary aromatic richness...
The work of the vineyard has always been done in the respect of the nature and the environment, and quite naturally, the House has passed in Biodynamy in 1999, and has been certified Organic in 2010.
