This magnum of champagne Brut from De Castelnau is a wine elaborated from a blend composed of 40% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir, and 40% Pinot Meunier. This cuvée contains 17% of reserved wine, giving this Brut Reserve a great maturity and complexity. Blending is fundamental to the production of any Champagne and totally dependent on the skills and experience of the chief winemaker and his team.
The taster will be immediately intrigued by the sheer aromatic complexity rarely found in a non-vintage Brut. “…a Vintage soul in a Brut non-vintage body” exactly defines this delicious and complex wine.
This magnum is destined to accompany to savoueires such as tempura Scampi, a Dover Sole or a Veal Sweatbreads meuniere.
