Rigorous grape selection, Vinification and maturation in small oak barrels, respect of the tradition, voluntary limitation of the volumes, none or very few malolactic fermentation in order to respect the grape and the terroir’s personality : these are all the attentions of Alfred Gratien to produce a unique and qualitative champagne.
Today this cuvée is at the dawn of maturity, and it will soon deliver its full potential.
Served during the meal, it will be the ideal partner of fishes with delicate and firm flesh such as a seabass, tuna or red mullet.

Champagnes from Alfred Gratien have a lengthy tradition and, disregarding the mass-produced ethos and fashions of modern times, still remain true to that tradition today. What you get is a "hand-crafted" champagne that represents quality and uniqueness. Champagnes from Alfred Gratien are vinified in oak barrels, as BOLLINGER or KRUG, and is produced to only 250 000 bottles per year. "I have always been of the opinion that champagne should be to wine what haute couture is to fashion." Alfred Gratien
