Brut Nature Cuvée is a grand classic from the Champagne house Alfred Gratien. The blend is dominated by the fruitiness of Pinot Meunier combined with the elegance of Chardonnay.
In order to elaborate this cuvée, the cellar master chose the 2008 harvest, which is characterized by its complexitiy, roundness and its perfect balance. Then, headded 15% of reserved wine, and decided not to add any sugar in the blend in order to reveal the liveliness and freshness of the grapes.
A rigorous grape selection, vinification and aging process in small oak barrels in respect of the tradition, voluntary limitation of volumes, no malolactic fermentation, this is the spirit of this cuvée : respect for the grape and the soil personality.
This champagne is uncompromising and dynamic, in a baroque style. It will delight the great connoisseurs of the Champagne region.
Best served at a temperature of 8°c, it is delicious with firm texture meals, such as lobster, rawham, gamebirds and old Gouda cheese.

Champagnes from Alfred Gratien have a lengthy tradition and, disregarding the mass-produced ethos and fashions of modern times, still remain true to that tradition today. What you get is a "hand-crafted" champagne that represents quality and uniqueness. Champagnes from Alfred Gratien are vinified in oak barrels, as BOLLINGER or KRUG, and is produced to only 250 000 bottles per year. "I have always been of the opinion that champagne should be to wine what haute couture is to fashion." Alfred Gratien
