Regarding the Champagne Castelnau Rosé
Cuvée Brut Rosé from De Castelnau is a wine elaborated from a blend composed of 35% Chardonnay, 14% Pinot Noir, 51% Pinot Meunier and 10% of Pinot vinified in red wine which contains 20% of reserved wine. This gives this champagne a great maturity and complexity.
On the palate, it is soft and rich but still retains a lovely lightness of touch.
Notes of sweets and crystallised fruits linger, lifted by a touch of eau-de-vie of cherries from the Pinot Noir as befits a true rosé. This cuvée has all the character of a white Champagne plus that subtle extra charm of a true Rosé Champagne.
This Rosé Champagne will show at its best with warm tarts, clafoutis and red and white fruit based puddings. It makes a charming aperitif too.

Service, product, price and delivery were of a high standard, well done! For me a serious problem was not receiving the original packaging. I understand the transport problems with the courier (I understood them) but I asked for the original (empty) box to be attached to the shipment and I was denied. For those who want to give 6 bottles as a gift, the original carton is essential.
