Regarding the Champagne Bruno Paillard Première Cuvée Extra-Brut Jéroboam
The Première Cuvée Extra-Brut champagne of the Bruno Paillard House is the "flagship" of the House. It comes only from the first press, the purest, with 32 crus vinified separately.
It is composed of 22% Pinot Meunier, 33% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, supplemented by reserve wines of 30 to 50% depending on the harvest.
This champagne is aged in the bottle for 3 years, which is more than double of the legal minimum of 15 months. After disgorging, the date of which is indicated on the back label, it is left to rest for another 5 months. Like all the wines of the House, the Première Cuvée is dosed in Extra-Brut (less than 6 gr/l of sugar), which makes it a very authentic and pure champagne.
To the eye, the straw gold color reveals the exclusive use of the first press and the important percentage of Chardonnay. The bubbles are extremely fine. The nose is fruity and fresh, revealing aromas of citrus fruits, followed by red fruits. On the palate, the attack is lively, with a beautiful chalky minerality, then we discover flavors of citrus, almonds, and black fruits. It has a nice length in the mouth, with a clean finish.
This superb champagne will accompany an aperitif as well as a meal with lamb for example. This jeroboam will be perfect for a party ! It's in its shipping wooden box.
