Regarding the Champagne Alfred Gratien Brut 2007
Created in very limited quantity and raised in the deep chalk cellars of Maison Alfred Gratien for a decade, Brut 2007 is a rich and mature champagne. It is elaborated from 59% Chardonnay, 16% Pinot noir and 25% Meunier.
The blend is of an unbelievable complexity. The nose recalls the sweetness of biscuit, almond paste and hazelnut, while being subtle and round. It took the most of its cellar aging, in 228 liters small oak casks offering then a great aromatic complexity.
It unveils fresh flavors and a delicate effervescence. The palate is very pleasant especially after a few minutes of ventilation. This cuvée is complex, fruity, soft, bitter and develops dry apple aromas with a beautiful acidity.
Fresh, vibrant, ample and complex : the best describing words when it comes to talk about Brut 2007 from Alfred Gratien. A champagnes aimed to be decanted and enjoyed with dishes such as a white truffle risotto, a seafood or a grilled lobster.
